Isabella Kuri Esquivel
I used to think that, like a coloring book, the world was filled with lines, shapes, and edges. Growing up, I did everything I could to stay inside the lines. But I soon realized I wasn’t dealing with a coloring book, but a blank canvas. My challenges and experiences weren’t mistakes, but blots of color that made me stand out from the rest.
My name is Isabella Kuri Esquivel, or Isa for short. I am passionate about pushing boundaries and breaking outside the lines in my work. I believe creativity and collaboration have the power to make a meaningful impact within communities.
Born and raised in Mexico, my experiences fueled my passion for multicultural advancement. This drive led me to receive the Multicultural Award of Distinction at Central Michigan University, where I also discovered my love for graphic design. As president of Design Hub, CMU’s graphic design club, I’ve worked to create a space where collaboration thrives. I live for the “aha” moments when we challenge the limits of traditional design.
Why should we limit ourselves to coloring books when we could fill galleries?
